GoatCounter
I finally tried out GoatCounter - the open source Google Analytics alternative.
Initially, Google Analytics 4 was installed here, but something felt wrong about that.
While it has just become a matter of routine to install Google services onto any website I make, this time around I got to thinking... what else is out there?
GoatCounter is privacy-aware, lightweight, and pretty accessible. I was surprised to find I can even easily add a vanity subdomain pretty easily!
And of course, it's 100% free.
I'll make sure and report back on it later.
